The only MF combine left is the Ideal and AGCO has decided to label them Fendt for NA. In the rest of the world you can get MF combines even the Ideal is badged MF. Merry Christmas everyone.
So the big reveal of the new T series is out I see. Big 🤪 improvements like an auger extension you can order from factory, rotor reverser, one side panel made out of 2, new decals T instead of a S . Did I miss anything? I honestly don’t know why they bothered, I keep hoping that they will make...
Double what you pay for the combine to make repairs the first year. Than plan on 10% of the price of the combine in repairs yearly. SO if you find a machine for $10k, plan on $10K repairs right of the bat, and then $1K every year. If you don't have this expense - you got lucky! Always carry a large fire extinguisher in the combine.
I’ve got an FD75 MacDon header with CA25 adapter on it. It currently has a JD transition frame installed. I recently bought a CaseIH 8120 combine to replace my John Deere. Now I am looking for a CNH transition frame and found that there aren’t many used ones out there. As such, I am...
The Insight is there for one of two purposes: 1) the head was converted to work with a 9x00/10 series combine. If this is what you have, you will need this, and more. 2) the head has (or had) Headsight sensors installed under the skids for operating in wheat/rye/oats, etc in rigid mode. The sensors are removed when operating in flex.
Both Hillco and Rahco work jointly with the combine company to do this. Yes, I've seen other combines [pre-owned] have these hillside features added. I can only presume in such a case, the dealer or even individual makes all needed arrangements whereby the mods are made at the respective factories.
The combine is the "critical" item to keep rolling - they prefer enough "away" capacity to keep up with it, + a little. The only time they worry about the cart & semi sitting is when the combine is broke down! If the combine ever stops - woe to the cart or semi driver who made that happen. Not saying that's right, just that's reality.
The combine is a great machine but already starting to show signs of major wear like our older 7120 did. It seems CNH hasn't improved much. My big question is that I want to know if there are other farmers or contractors that are experiencing premature wear and problems from these machines?
