As the Seattle Seahawks return to action this Sunday night, they do so with a golden opportunity. Sitting at 5-2, the Seahawks have a chance to move to 6-2 against a deeply wounded and struggling Washington Commanders team.
The former Florida Gator is currently on IR, dealing with a fractured orbital bone. The Colts have a sixth-round pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, Riley Leonard, an unproven rookie, as backup. If head coach Shane Steichen feels more comfortable having the former fourth overall pick as backup, Richardson may remain with the team.
Sam Darnold had a perfect first half against the Commanders, going 16 of 16 for 284 yards and four touchdowns in the first two quarters of Seattle's 38-14 win. Darnold is the only QB over the past 35 years to complete 100% of his passes for at least 250 passing yards and four passing touchdowns in a single half.
